Course Description

Candidates who successfully complete this course will be entitled to act as a First Aider in a low-risk workplace. However, that doesn't mean it is purely a course for the workplace. The skills taught on this course can be invaluable to anyone in a emergency situation requiring CPR or First Aid. This course ensures employees complies with the Health & Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. The Emergency First Aid at Work course is unit 1 and day 1 of the First Aid at Work 3 day course. If you are working in a higher-risk environment then the Level 3 First Aid at Work course is better suited. Course Content Includes:

• Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
• Recording incidents & actions
• Use of available equipment
• Assessing an incident
• Unconscious casualties
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator
• Choking
• Wounds and bleeding
• Shock
• Minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)

Certification Successful candidates will be awarded the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, valid for 3 years. The course is a regulated Ofqual accredited course certified by Qualsafe. Although this qualifictaion is valid for 3 years it is strongly recommended by the HSE that refresher training is completed each year between the three years. Certification & Accreditation

Successful candidates will be awarded the Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate, valid for 3 years. The course is a regulated Ofqual accredited course certified by Qualsafe. Your First Aid certificate will expire three years after the date of completion. However, for this course, annual refresher training is strongly recommended by the HSE each year between the three years.
